The children's day begins with public school from 8:00 AM until noon. Three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) they then walk to Casa Leandra for the after-school program. Their afternoon includes:

• meal prayer, lunch, and the students brush their teeth
• quiet time
• bible study—the Christian education part of their day
• time for homework, either in groups, or 1 on 1 with a tutor
• organized recreation activities
• meal prayer and a snack
• free time for games, puzzles, etc.
• prayer at the end of the program
   
• frequently, meals are prepared for the families of the children and sent home with them

• provide Christian education
• to reinforce their academic education
• to give emotional support
• to help with clothing, nutrition and medical care
• to encourage the development of their abilities and skills
• to follow up with their family and offer support
